how can i find out about local auctions for furniture etc? Question: i currently run a public house and require loads more chairs and tables and have heard there are many that go to auction when pubs close etc, any ideas how i can find them in the yorks/humberside area? Answer: I know the Scotch Corner Hotel, N Yorks holds hotel/restaurant clearance sales quite regularly so it might be worth contacting them. Can you give ideas on on-line auctions, wholesales, and inexpensive furniture besides the obvious? Question: Love overstock, Amazon,and dislike ebay. Do you have suggestions on sites like these that ARE HONEST where office furniture is auctioned or sold? Do not get mad and huffy about this being in this catigory because this seems to fit better than any other.
