CNN reports that a teen boy in Albertville, Alabama raped his mother!?
Question:
Ya'll, I live in Birmingham, Alabama and this type of stuff does not happen here, I've never heard of it happening anywhere for that matter! I know that there are mothers and sons that mutually decide to be intimate with each other (which is totally sickening to me) and that there are sons that lust over their mothers (which is equally sickening), but this is really trippin' me out! The mother says that she tried to get up, but her son kept forcing her down!

Answer:
well you sound to me like a guy with his fingers in his ears and his eyes closed jumping around screaming "I can't hear you!", don't blame you, but rest assured that just because the mental decease in this young child's mind let him to believe that it was a remotely viable revenge towards his brother to rape his own mother, does not mean that your town is going to hell...I wish to let you know that I've heard of even worse, the mind is a complicated machinery and without knowing this kid I can allready tell that he didn't just woke up one day and said hey here is an idea! I believe it came out of his enviroment, note how this happened in a trailer park...hold up im not saying every trailer park is breeding ground to freaks but it is home to poverty and ignorance, you mix that with a lifetime of child abuse that for the most part happens in poor america , and boom there you have it one sick pup!! I'm sure his momma isn't just the victim the media is portreying her to be and the situation with his brother over susie "rotten-crotch's" love is not the only reason for his actions. This is but a simptom of our deceased society and the cure is not belts and it is not blind belief in God , the cure is to educate people and focus our society into better aim's than just superfluous dreams and ideologies! mul it over!

Answer:
Alabama will probably be an acquired taste to someone from California. http://www.magiccitymoments.com/ They call Birmingham the Magic CIty, and that's a website that's pretty representative of what you can find there. It's the largest city in the state. As for jobs, it varies wildly right now. Some industry have laid off a lot of people. But take a look at http://www.birminghamhelpwanted.com to see a good range of who's hiring. I wouldn't call the job market good in general, but some fields are doing all right. You do have some pretty good colleges. Auburn University has a first class vet school, and people come from all over the world for the UAB (University of Alabama at Birmingham) medical school. The weather can get very, very hot and muggy in the summer, but from fall through spring it's an extremely mild and pleasant place to live. (If you don't live too close to water, and so get carried off by mosquitos.) The one really good thing about Alabama is that it's a very cheap place to live. You can get a nice two bedroom apartment in a safe neighborhood in Birmingham for $850 or less, if you take time to look around. If you plan to live somewhere rural -- well, I have a friend who leases a 3-bedroom, beautiful renovated farmhouse for $550. Her utilities (electric, water, gas) top out at less than $200 a month even in summer, with the central a/c going constantly. Not sure if this was what you were looking for, but I hope it helped. Feel free to ask if you have more specific questions. I live there for 28 years.

I WISH TO BUY A DIRECTV SYSTEM AND INSTALL IT MYSELF-ARE THEY STILL SOLD THAT WAY?
Question:
I LIVE IN ALBERTVILLE, ALABAMA AND EVERYONE WANTS TO INSTALL THE SYSTEM--I DO NOT NEED THEM TO

Answer:

Is there a physiological reason for this or is this guy just gone off the deep end?
Question:
In Alabama( I will skip the Jerry Springer jokes - please do the same). In Albertville, Alabama a 19 year old man raped his mother to get back at his brother for an argument about a girlfriend. The victim was assaulted last weekend and according to police the son confessed and is being held on $100,000 bond. Wonder which family memeber he will ask for bail money?

Answer:
It speaks a great deal about his attitude towards women. He does not appear to see females as valuable in their own right, more as 'things' to be acquired or abused. It seems that he thought his brother played with one of his toys so he tried to break one that he shared with his brother.

Is this an immigration or child labor problem?
Question:
A while back a 17 year old boy was crushed to death at Wayne Farms in Albertville Alabama. He had been working there since he was 15!! Their production staff is 100% hispanic with a few white maintenance and only 1 black lady inspector (she's been there 22 years). They claim to use E-verify but if you are familar with E-verify you know it is easily manipulated. So here is a company that refuses to hire blacks and whites and chooses to work children. INS has reports but has not acted. When a state law says 18 to work in processing plant and the boy is 17 it is not an assumption. 1 black lady 600 employees does that sound lady they hire blacks. further more no one was even monitering the child. They didn't know he was dead until the conveyor belt brought him into plant. This is not hear say it happened.

Answer:
Ohhh come on now Tony... First its both a child labor and an illegal immigration problem. Why? Because illegals have created the problem for themselves. If he was here legally Tony at the age of 15, he would have been in school not on a farm working. Second, if illegals didn't flood America in search of jobs this poor boy would probably still be alive and well in Mexico... Finally, and this is the one that I really have a problem with Tony... It is a country wide epidemic. Argue your pro stance all day long if you want. You can call a banana an orange all day long buddy, but, in the end its still a banana and as a taxpayer I have the right to tell your illegal immigrant supporting ass to shove it. My 1st amendment right and all. And tony its all good, keep on using the 14th, cause one day Americans will pull out the 2nd. Then we will see how proud you are that yo so espanol.

How far do internet service providers usually stop providing service?
Question:
Okay, so my boyfriend lives pretty far away, and we've been trying to get him internet for months so we could talk more. Thing is, there aren't any providers near him since his town is pretty small. He lives about 25 miles away from the closest city that would have internet, not including all those small miles in between where he lives and where the service provider would be. How far would it be? He lives in Horton, and the closest city that provides it is in Albertville, Alabama. So if you could help get him internet, I would *really* appriciate it. Espicially since I'm kind of a n00b when it comes to technology like this. :P

Answer:
You might want to check with his telephone company - they may offer DSL. But, that said... If there's nothing else, then it sounds like satellite is in his future! Two choices, in order of preference: * Wild Blue * Hughesnet The problem with Wild Blue is they use a different kind of band than Hughes, so he has to be in one of Wild Blues "spot beams" to get it: http://get.wildblue.com Hughes is just about anywhere: http://www.hughesnet.com/ Now, if you have a choice between the two, pick Wild Blue! Both have a "Fair Access Policy," but Hughes' is HORRIBLE compared to Wilde Blue's. Check them out before you decide: http://customercare.myhughesnet.com/fap_faqs.htm http ://www.wildbluesatellite.net/wild_blue_satellite_fair_access.htm Someone's gonna say "what about Earth Link" or some other satellite service. But, if you check their sites the chances are they actually use Hughes (it says "Get Hughesnet" on the banner): http://www.earthlink.net/access/satellite.faces Be st of luck to ya! When it rains/snows - the satellite will lose contact. But in fair weather, it's not TOO bad! I've used both before DSL came to my neck of farm-country!

Question:
albertville alabama??; the chick that gave her dog sudafed said there are no emergency vets there and she cant to anything to help her now poisoned dog. Kinda makes me wonder how many people on here actually follow others advice?? Oh dang! Looks like I found an emergency clinic that she said she didnt have in her city. Its even n her city unlike most of them. I know the ones here I have to drive 45 minutes to get to! McCrory Animal Clinic (256) 878-3131 1133 al Highway 75 North, Albertville, AL 35951 http://www.superpages.com/bp/Albertville-AL/McCrory-Anim al-Clinic-L0008449505.htm?SRC=portals&C=Veterinarians&lbp=1 And two more: Emergency Animal Hospital 7535 Bailey Cove Rd SE Huntsville, AL 35802 (256) 881-8856‎ Animal Emergency Clinic of North Alabama Inc 2112 Memorial Pkwy SW Huntsville, AL 35801 (256) 533-7600‎ Im sorry but did I ask your opinion about the black tongue thing??? There is almost no such thing as a pure bred dog nowadays anyway. All of them were bred into what they are now. Whats to say there isnt a little chow in all of them. Just read it, should i stay in this?
Question:
Um... well. I am the Albertville alabama aggie band. Next year. we are going to pasadena to play at the rose bowl, we were selected out of 15 bands around the world. WORLD. that includes japan and africa and all those places. that is a HUGE honor. i hear all this amazing stuff, and it makes me want to go, but i dont enjoy playing my instrument. the alto saxophone. my mom has to put in the nonrefundable deposit in for some of it in march, so i need some opinions.people say its boring in middle school. which it is, and they say atleast try next year, but i have to march 6 1/2 miles for this parade. WOW. and it gets hot thereee. Hmm. :/

Answer:
The weather will be mild enough in January. It's cold in the morning! (Brrr, it's been horrid cold here, like just under 60 during the day. Yes, that's freezing to me!) How long have you been playing your instrument in a serious, focused manner? If it's been less than about 5 years, give it a bit more time, especially with the upcoming Rose Bowl trip. Most of my teen son's friends didn't find their instruments *fun* until they were playing for 4 or so years, now they really enjoy them. Don't worry about the parade distance, you won't have a problem. Just start walking and walking more over time. It's really not that far, and you'll probably have a bump up in strength by then, most teens have several during high school. Being part of the Rose Parade/Rose Bowl may be one of the most amazing experiences you'll have in your life. My son's band instructor, from when he was in jr high, works with the Honor Band that is in the parade every year, and the kids are totally psyched about the experience even though they live around Pasadena. One of my friends was a Rose Queen, and my son has had several Rose Queen and Princess friends. They go through all the hassle and spend the time because being part of Rose Parade is a big deal and honor. Besides, it will look good on your college apps! If you don't go, you may regret it. Think about it! Besides, don't you want to go to California and hang out in Pasadena? Imagine the photos you'll get! = ) Good luck with your decision!
