Is there anywhere within 100 miles of Apache Junction, AZ that gets a decent amount of snow in the winter?
Question:
I want to live where I have about 3-12 inches of snow throughout most of the winter...doesn't melt the same day it snows, stays around a while, but is not so bad you can't drive in it or to where you have to shovel your driveway. Hoping to be within 100 miles of Apache Junction, AZ. Thanks :-)

Answer:
I've been to Payson, I was there last April from Mesa and there was still snow on the ground. Its soo pretty in Payson.

What area of Apache Junction, Az is the safest?
Question:
I'm just starting my research, as I want to relocate there. What area is one to avoid? What area is the most desirable? I will be purchasing a home for approx 100k, so I'm not looking for ritzy, just safe with good people. Thank You in advance.

Answer:
I lived in AJ for 16 years. Any area towards or close to the superstition mountains are great! I lived off Hilton and Superstition blvd. anywhere North from Idaho rd up to the mt, between highway 88 and main street i would say is deff the best area! Avoid the areas around ironwood and southern, or around Ironwood and main. Mainly, if the houses are decent/not to expensive, the people and area around them are! also, up towards Gold Canyon.. goldfield rd and the 60, or mountain view and the 60 is another great area. also the location off main and royal palms has always been popular.

Does Apache Junction school district allow online transfers?
Question:
What I mean is, does the district allow students to transfer from online schooling to their schools? I attend Primavara Online High School, and it is accredited, but some people have problems being allowed back in. I was hoping that someone who has dealt with this problem before could help me, but any information is helpful. Thank you.

Answer:
Each school has its own rules about it. You can compare their rules and students feedback here - schools.iblogger.org

Are there any jobs in Apache Junction, Arizona for 13 year olds?
Question:
Im horrible at saving the extremly small allowance that my mom never gives me so now Im taking her advice and looking for a part time job. I dont want to do stuff like babysitting, mowing lawns, or krap like that. I want a real job. Any ideas?

Answer:
In Apache Junction you can get a real job at age 14. Arizona no longer requires a work permit so you can start work on your next birthday. The employer needs proof of age and citizenship so bring your birth certificate. Until then you have to invent a job for yourself. You can make $50 an hour patching shingle roofs. Every roof in town is missing a few shingles.

What is there to do in Apache junction,Arizona ?
Question:
Hoping to move there next year!

Answer:
Most of Apache Junction is a nice suburban area just East of Mesa. Very scenic (at the foot of the Superstition mountains) so there's lots of nice hiking and jogging trails and from mid February until early April there's a interesting Renaissance Festival. Several excellent golf courses, but there are also a number of larger retirement sub-divisions for Snowbirds (part-time residents). Not a lot of younger people currently reside here (under 30 years old)!

Who makes rubber molds for casting lightweight concrete in Apache Junction, AZ ?

Answer:
Does a town of 31,000 have enough business for a company that makes rubber molds for casting concrete? I would have thought not. For a rotten site (black lettering on a s--t brown background) these people might get molds from some place if they don't make them http://www.theconcreteculture.com/

Help! Need to Get from Tucson to Apache Junction?
Question:
I am new to the Tucson area and do not have a car on the road yet. I have an appt that can not be missed in Apache Junction and need to get there early in the morning. Does anyone know of names for a reasonable cab service or bus line that could get me there?

Answer:
Sadly, the most reliable and comfortable way to get between the two cities will be a Greyhound bus along with a taxi cab. The shuttle services between Phoenix and Tucson are spotty and usually consist of cramming as many people into a van as possible. They are not known for their punctuality either. If you can wing it, I would strongly suggest finding someone you trust who would let you carpool with them. So many people make that trip at least once a week that there is bound to be someone near you that does it as well.
