Ohio!!!?!?!???!???!?
Question:
does anyone have any ideas about something to do in ohio? i'm going there in a couple of weeks and i don't want to be bored!!!!!!!!!! i'm going to columbus and i can't think of anything to do!!!!!

Answer:
Ohio isn't that bad this time of year! It's a little hot, but in Columbus there are some fun things to do: High Street has the Gallery Hop the first Saturday of every month. Check out www.shortnorth.org, lots of wine tasting, live music, bar hopping, oh yeah, and art..... High Street also has the Arena District bars, lots of great bars, restaurants and live music any night of the week. www.arena-district.com There's also our great zoo in Hilliard, the Columbus Zoo. It's getting bigger every day! We have Easton Town Center which is a huge outdoor mall with tons of shopping you won't find anywhere else in Columbus, lots of night life & music & happy hour specials. There is also The Funny Bone & Gameworks located at Easton. I've seen J Medicine Hat & Joe Rogan there. www.eastontowncenter.com If you like live concerts, check out The LC (lifestyle community pavilion) right by Nationwide Arena. There are always big bands coming there and its within walking distance of lots of bars. Oh, and the biggest radio station in town always has up to date information on the best bars & shows coming to town. www.wnci.com There are tons of fairly interesting fairs & festivals in C-bus, too, check The Columbus Dispatch Weekender, http://www.dispatch.com/dispatch/content/weekender/index.html for your specific dates.

What is the Ohio documenation fee when purchasing a new car at a dealer?
Question:
I just purchased a new car and the dealer told me that the state of Ohio charges $250 for a documentation fee. They said just a month ago it was $100. Is this fee real and are dealers assessed for all of the cars they sell by Ohio?

Answer:
%^%^%^ I think it depends on the value of the car.

In Ohio, can your employer make your drive your personal vehicle for work purposes?
Question:
My husband works as a mechanic and his boss always tells him that he has to take his car to go pick up other cars. Among wear and tear, we haven't been getting paid for gas mileage, he has wrecked a car driving for work, and his boss still insists that he does. I told my husband to refuse to drive, but he is worried he will get fired. Is it legal to force an employee drive their car for work purposes in Ohio?

Answer:
I am pretty sure it is "legal", I have had to do it. They should be reimbursing him for mileage expense though. Also keep record of it and anything that is not reimburse by the employer is tax deductable. It is unfortunate that things happen like that and whether it would be legal or not in the real world we know we need to do it or look for another job. I would ask about the mileage though and like I said just keep track of everything and even though it is a pain now it will help you at the end of the year.

How is Southern Ohio different from Northern Ohio?
Question:
I am curious about the intra-state stratification in Ohio. I have been all over Northern Ohio, but not below Columbus. In what way is it different from Northern Ohio? I'm curious more about cultural differences. I can pretty much predict the weather differences and the physiographic differences. I have heard similar things (that the northern part is very different from the southern part) about Virginia, Florida, West Virginia, Indiana, Illinois, and Missouri. How are they different?

Answer:
On the back of most seed packets, there is a map of the USA. When we moved from Kent, Ohio, we moved from the light blue area into the light green area. Cincinnati is far more cosmopolitan than anything I experienced in the Akron-Kent-Cleveland area. Physio-graphically, Cincinnati is on top of and in the valleys between an alluvial plain. This is where the glaciers ended. It was also a bed for the inland sea, so you have a lot of marine fossils embedded in the limestone.

What are the labor laws in Ohio or other states relating to breaks?
Question:
Is there a certain law in Ohio or other states that says you have to have a certain amount of breaks during a day? I know where I work in NY there are signs that say you HAVE to take your breaks (minor or not) and if you work a nine hour shift you must get a half hour and two 15's. Is it the same in ohio?

Answer:
There is no Federal or state law which requires breaks for any period or work for adults. Minors are a different matter and regulated by specific state laws.

What caused the ohio state buckeyes to lose the national championship?
Question:
the buckeyes were favorited. Did they have too much confidence, because i' am an ohio state fan and i was shocked when i watched them play. It seemed like we were not communicating and it was just a horrible game for buckeye fans to watch. also dont you think it is too long for a football team to wait 51 days since their last game i think they need to speed up the bowl process. What do you think?

Answer:
Gator's confidence for one & let's forget about the 51 day stuff. Florida looked so good and had so much energy left over that I believe they could have gone against another team playing another 4 quarters and kicked some @ss. I know there are a lot of you who will agree.

What colleges in Ohio offer a program for a career as a watchmaker?
Question:
I want to be a watchmaker/jewerly maker. I know they offer this as a major but im not sure what colleges in ohio offer this major and need to find out as soon as possible.

Answer:
This is a trade, you want to check out technical schools. Try Googling "Jewlery Maker" or things like that.

What are federal and Ohio laws concerning internet hacking of personal emails?
Question:
I found out that someone I know hacked into my personal email yahoo account, read and printed several of my personal emails. I wanted to know the federal and Ohio laws concerning this. My attorney has been of no help.

Answer:
you don't say why your attorney has been of no help - is it you don't like the answers you got, or you are not willing to accept a referral to a specialist or what? there are no state laws as it is a federal issue. DMCA (see google/wikipedia) might apply, also whatever applies in the case of Gov. Palin may apply here.

Who are some modular home builders in ohio, and how much to build a 2000 sf house?

How many organizations in Ohio are working on Puppy Legislation?
Question:
We are working with Best Friends Animal Society to change legislation in Ohio for the puppy mill industry. We need to unite as many groups as possible to help save and improve the lives of dogs who are trapped in the puppy mill industry.

Answer:
ohio already is the #1 ranked most un-friendly dog state. most laws anyone is trying to pass in this state are just hidden excuses for breed specific legislation. laws can be created to stop puppy mills, but laws have been created to stop the use of drugs too. catch my drift? laws only make it worse. imagine an "illegal" puppy mill ... wow.
