Has anyone seen Oklahoma City and its metro area. It's booming and its getting ridiculous, It will probably become one of the bigger cities in the U.S. Well maybe not but it wil get pretty big, there is a chance though. I love Oklahoma it isn't all "rayedneckk" either. well my main reason for this was to see if people have noticed how its booming. But anyways..

I live in oklahoma and am not a redneck, an idiot, and I do know how to drive in the snow, not that we get it very often. Oklahoma City is getting a lot better, especially with the restoration of Bricktown. They have a lot of events...in fact, Reggaefest is this weekend. There are a ton of clubs and restaurants downtown, a huge movie theater, the Ford Center, and a lot of other things. People need to take a look at Oklahoma. It has changed. I've lived here all my life and I love it. You can be in a big metropolis one minute and out in the country the next. There aren't many places where you can do that.

i am going to oklahoma this coming thursday to watch the college softball world series what should i bring. i will be there from thursay to tuesday so about 5 days i asked this question because i have freedom of speech to ask what ever i want. and i dont live in oklahoma to know what to bring. what would you bring to nebraska or north dakota? or to oklahoma. and the reason why i am goig is to see the softball world series.

a bottle of rubbing alcohol...it is very important...I worked at the local health food store/grocery store and had the pleasure of telling the tourists a thing or two about an invisable little bug there called a chigger....if you get into or around any grass...foliage...you will find them. I would put a small spray bottle of the rubbing alcohol and spay the bottom of my pants and legs...believe me you DONT want to feel these bugs...they dig into your skin and set up home in a little sac and if you brake the sac...it itches like you cannot believe...also...citronella spay will stop any and all flying insects from bothering you..and they WILL bother you....it is VERY humid there...a cool towel around the neck always helped me...dont think if you find a turtle that it cant reach clear to its butt and take your finger off in the process and oh yes they make a great soup to alot of people there......and if you see an armadillo and it is on the road...dont go over it...they jump straight up....honest... the people are friendly and the bbq is amazing....the air is sweet in some parts and copperheads usually travel in pairs...dont pick up hitchhikers and june bugs go in packs...if you come up to a store that looks like it is in a cloud.....its junebugs....big ones...oh and bring your umbrella...if you dont like the weather in the morn...dont worry it will be different by noon...and most of all...when they tell you to hit the ditch when the tornado hits.... they forget to mention the ditch is a rageing river from the turential rain and hail that came minutes before.....and usually has a tree going down the middle of it....have fun...and if your a girl...dont listen to the smooth talkin cowboys...a boy...watch out for the daisy may hordogs...hope it helps..land if your a christian...it has amazing people with tons of knowledge of God...lived there for a while...can ya tell...

When driving to oklahoma from new orleans, do you go through grapevine texas?

I'm going on a road trip soon, and i need help. On the way to oklahoma from new orleans, do you pass through grapevine texas?

Answer:
Grapevine, TX is a suburb of Dallas, TX. That's generally the best route. I-35 to Grapevine, then I-20, I-40, I-10 to New Orleans. I would not take the route south through Houston. It can be bad. 40 and 20 are ok, though I-10 can have a problem. Don't hit Baton Rouge during rush hour, as it can be pretty bad.

How do i know if I qualify for Oklahoma residency or not?

I have been attending Jones Academy in Oklahoma since 2006. I was planning on attending college in Oklahoma when I graduate this May. I was born in Texas and both my parents live in Texas but I don't live with either of them. How do I know if I qualify as an Oklahoma resident or not? My boarding school is my home more than any other place. Would this qualify?

Answer:
All you need is an OK driver's license proving your residency dated back at least 12 months. If you don't have that, do you have a vehicle that is registered in OK? A local bank account may work. Having a library card my prove residency as well. The best thing to do is check with the college you plan on attending and their requirements of residency or the Oklahoma Higher Ed (http://www.okhighered.org/). Hope this helps.

Fireworks stands in OK are open from June 15-July 6 and December 15-January 2. While this may govern the state your local county/town may have different laws. I used to live in VA. Certain fireworks can be sold all year round in VA except in the county I lived in they could only be sold around the 4th. The best way to find out when fireworks are available in your area is to call your local Fire Marshall.

Definetly Chicago Aside from the fact that Chicago is a great city it is also about the halfway point between your two cities. Because Chicago is a major transportation hub it's a cheap city to get to from anywhere if you're flying or using Amtrak.

In Oklahoma when you go to buy a tag they need insurance verification. You wait about 10 minutes, they call you up and you pay for your tag. Do they actually contact the insurance company somehow and verify that you do indeed have insurance or do they just look at the verification card (much like a police officer does) and sell you your tag?

How long from applying to Oklahoma training?

For Off The Street hiring, about how long would you say it takes to from applying for the test to actually being shipped off to the academy in Oklahoma City? I know after applying, it takes about 4-6 weeks before being selected to take the AT-SAT pre-employment test, but I know after passing the test you have to do the interview, security, medical, and psychological testing, and then assigned the date for the academy. Any rough time estimates for all that in between? Sorry, this is for Air Traffic Control just to be clear.
