Where in Boone, North Carolina can my family rent a BIG cabin for Christmas?

My family and I are planning a 4-day getaway to Boone, NC for a white Christmas this year (we don't get many of those down here in Georgia!). The problem is, I have a huge family. We'll have about 20 people going in all and I can't find a cabin that will hold all of us. The biggest cabin I've found will only sleep 10. We'd prefer a resort that's all-inclusive. Any suggestions?

I am looking for a good tubing river near Boone, North Carolina.?
Question:
I have looked at Wilson Creek, South Toe River, and New River. I like a lot of rapids and white water. I tubed and enjoyed the Green River. Do you have any suggestions?

Answer:
I don't know of any others except for the French Broad. It is in Tenn, but not far from Boone. The Nantahala is good, but not real close to Boone. (We have been on all of those except for Wilson and Green.)

I am planning a week in Boone, North Carolina in mid-January.?

I have never been there and am hoping for info on what MUST be seen and a few hidden jems off the usual sites too. Any info from regular travelers would be helpful.

Answer:
I used to like to go to Linville Falls when I lived in Boone. Are you a skier? If you are used to the west coast, the skiing in the area will probably disappoint you, but if you are a beginner, the skiing in around there is great. Depending on whether there is snow, of course... Some links for you in sources below. I was only there for a year and I'm from Florida, so I avoided driving much in January, but hopefully some of this will help you out! If you go back in warmer months, my favorite is Howard's Knob, but it's only open April - October. Great view, though.

yea i go there actually! the one most people go to is App Ski Mountain. There's a PE class at App that you can take and their classes are held there. It's like 20 minutes away. Ski Beech and Sugar are also close. Hawksnest used to be another one, but now it's just tubing. Sugar is the best one, but App is the most common, I'd say.

Why would this time of year make a difference from any other. Maybe more water will make identification easier. Are you considering rubies and sapphires.? Its been a good many years since I have been in the area to hunt. I understand that its not the same, with the advent of Lawyers and liability suits. Good luck
