How much does it cost to rent an apartment in Toledo, Ohio? Question: Just wondering how much an apartment costs per month in Toledo, Ohio, or even nearby suburbs. Hey Bill P, kind of hard to see how much living in Toledo is in a newspaper when I live no where near the city. Also, did a basic search on the web, wasn't very helpful. So I did go to Yahoo answers and got a great answer in about 5 minutes. Very efficient. Something you would know nothing about because you go on Yahoo answers and try and belittle others to make yourself feel big. What the heck where you doing answering my question on a Friday night anyways Bill, nothing better to do? I at least had a Saturday test to study for cause I'm in a place called college, far away from your trailer park. Answer: They pay you to live there. Just kiddin. Basic apartment would be $600. In a complex with a pool, workout room, etc, 850+. Go to rent or apartments dot c0m. a> |

If I fly an airplane from Toledo,Ohio to San Francisco, California will it still be light out when I arrive? Question: If the time in Toledo,OH is 10:00pm (EDT) and the time in California is 7:00pm (PDT) will I arrive in California in the daylight? What I mean is that at 10:00pm (EDT) the sun is set in Toledo and it is completely dark out, but is the sun still out in San Francisco? Does the sun cross California after it crosses Ohio? I was just wondering because I did not pay much attention to this in school (6th grade). Answer: Yeah, there will still be sunlight in San Francisco at 7pm (if you fly within the next couple of days...hard to say if the flight is a end of sept flight) The sun crosses Ohio before California. That is why Ohio is dark at that time, while CA still has sun. Right now, the sun doesnt set until 8ish PDT. |

Does any one know of any good apartments in Toledo Ohio? Question: Im moving to Toledo Ohio in January, and I want to make sure im in a good area while going to school and raising my son. I just need a few good apartments that I can check out in a good environment. Please help. My son is 5 years old, and in kindergarden. I want to put him in a good school. also my price range would be between $400-$650. hopefully that would put me some where nice. Answer: (Editing my response to answer w/the add'l info you provided...) :) Cost of living isn't too bad around here. For $400-650, you should be able to find something decent. I assume you're looking for a 2 bedroom apt? We'll start off with the school district issue, since that will be a big factor in deciding where you'll want to live around here: Toledo Public Schools (TPS) are not doing so well right now. That said, there is one elementary school in the TPS district that has received an "Excellent" rating from the state for the past several years - Harvard Elementary. If I were in your situation, the only way I'd move into the TPS district would be if my child would be attending Harvard Elementary. Fortunately, there are several outlying school districts that are good too. If you'd rather live actually in Toledo, you could try finding a place in the Washington Local district. (Strangely enough, the City of Toledo actually has 2 districts - Toledo Public and Washington Local. I have no idea why, always seemed strange to me. But Washington Local's schools are much better than Toledo Public.) Or, you could try one of the suburbs too...Springfield Twp schools are good, and there's easy access to the University. Both Bancroft and Dorr streets go all the way out to Springfield Twp - in fact, a lot of graduate and law students move out to that area. Here's a complex on Holland Sylvania Rd. in Toledo, near Airport Hwy - Springfield Twp schools. There are 2 or 3 other apt/townhouse complexes in a row here, but I can't remember the names of the others: http://www.forrent.com/apartment-community-profile/10109 70.php McCord Rd in the general area of Dorr and Bancroft has a lot of apartment complexes too - it also has a Toledo mailing address, but is in Springfield schools. Here's a link to one of them to give you a starting point, but again...there are several complexes nearby. (Note - this location would provide easy access to the University, which is bordered by Dorr and Bancroft...you'd just shoot down one of those roads to head to campus, not more than a 10 minute drive.) http://www.apartmentcities.com/Ohio/d/giant_oaks_OH.asp There are great schools in Sylvania, Maumee, and Perrysburg, but I was steering you towards Springfield b/c Sylvania can be pricier, and Maumee and Perrysburg would be a little bit more of a drive. Springfield would be a reasonable combination of price, location, and school district. |

Anyone know of a MRI certificate program near Toledo, Ohio or northern Florida? Question: I'm almost finished with my radiologic technology schooling from an accredited program and I'm looking for somewhere to receive a MRI certificate. Is there really that many out there, or is it mostly on the job training? I'm going into radiation therapy in a few years, but would like to have the ability to work in the MRI field in the mean time. I'm looking for locations near Toledo, Ohio and Pensacola, Florida. Any help is appreciated, I can't find anything specific in google searches where it just brings up x-ray tech schools. Thanks! Answer: Most MRI programs are ridiculously expensive. I have never worked with a tech who has attended one of these programs. Almost all of the time, a RT will cross train, on the job, into MRI or CT scanning. I did a search on the ASRT site for accredited MRI programs, and there are only 3 in all of the US....none in Ohio or Florida. http://www.jrcert.org/cert/Search.jsp |
